A New Surname Index

I’ve added an “index” on the blog’s left sidebar that will allow people to click on a family surname to see everything that refers to ancestors with that surname. That way it will be quick and easy to navigate this blog and find just what you want. I will continue to add surnames to the index as I add genealogical info, scanned documents, and photos of people with each surname. (For married women, I will index them under both their maiden surname and their married surname(s), if I know them.) I plan to usually include only relatives in the surname index, the one exception being that I will include the surnames of witnesses/godparents from birth records, because these often turn out to be relatives too. Hopefully this index will prove helpful.
